Nice – PSG
Nice welcomes PSG in the most interesting game of the 35th round of the French Ligue 1. This could be a very important clash in the battle for the title in the French league.
The champions PSG are currently tied with Monaco on the top of the league with both clubs having 80 points won. Monaco still have a game in hand though, which makes them a favourite to win the gold medals at the end of the season.
As for Nice, they are enjoying a truly great season, currently being 3rd in the league standings. They already secured their qualification for the Champions League and now they can even become a huge factor in deciding the champion of the current season.
If Nice manage to beat PSG at home on Sunday night, they can really kill all of their hopes of defending their crown. In other words, Nice could make a huge favour to Monaco, if they make PSG lose points against them.
Unai Emery’s team won all of its last five games in the Ligue 1, but here is time to remind everyone that Nice is the team with the fewest losses in the league this season – just two. For the last time Lucien Favre’s team lost a match in February, so it’s a solid proof that PSG have a really tough task on Sunday night.
Being with one game more played than Monaco, PSG simply do not have a room for mistake on Sunday night. Could this game become really decisive for the outcome of the league? We are just about to find out. But one thing is for sure – Nice and PSG will offer us a great football, because these are two very good sides.
The last time PSG and Nice met, it was in December. The game in Paris ended with a 2-2 draw.
