Real Madrid – Deportivo La Coruna

Real Madrid hosts Deportivo La Coruna in a match from the 20th round of the Spanish La Liga.

This season is a pure nightmare for Real Madrid. The champions are currently 4th in the standings, being on the absurd 19 points behind the leader Barcelona. It’s really unexplainable why Real Madrid crumbled like this, especially after winning La Liga and the Champions League last season.

It’s kind of surprising that Zinedine Zidane haven’t been sacked so far. It looks like the French manager will finish the season, but who knows what can happen if the Los Blancos make another wrong step. We all know that the president Florentino Perez is not the most patient football boss on the planet. Many coaches already know this.

In their last five games in La Liga, Real Madrid have won just once. Which is more than unacceptable. In their last game they suffered a home defeat against Villarreal, which was another huge dissapointment for the fans. Real had a lot of opportunities to score, but it seems like the club’s strikers have forgotten how to score goals.

Now Deportivo La Coruna are coming to the Bernabeu.

Deportivo are having some serious troubles this season. They are currently 18th in the standings and positioned in the relegation zone of La Liga. The club from Riazor have won just 16 points so far and they can find themselves in a serious trouble, if they don’t improve pretty soon.

In their last five matches Deportivo La Coruna have won just once – against Leganes, losing three times in the process.

It’s time for Real Madrid to get back on their feet once again. It’s a tough moment for the European champions, but they possess enough class to overcome the difficulties. Despite of their problems, they are the huge favourites here.
