Switzerland caused one of the biggest upsets at the European Championship after they sensationally eliminated the world champion France. Now the Crusaders will try to do another miracle against another one of the contenders for the trophy.

Switzerland were two goals down against France, but they managed to reach extra-time after goals scored by Haris Seferovic (2) and Mario Gavranovic. Surprisingly the game went to extra-time where no goals were scored. During the penalties Switzerland scored all of their five penalties while the goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

Now the Crusaders are full of confidence before facing Spain. They eliminated the current world champion, so nothing can scare them off right now. This is their time to shine.

Spain also needed extra-time to eliminate Croatia from the 1/8-finals. They didn’t went to penalties, though – they won with 5-3 after 120 minutes of playing. The result was 3-3 during the regular time.

Five different players scored for La Roja against the World Cup finalists. Pablo Sarabia, Cesar Azpilicueta and Ferran Torres put the ball in the net during the regular time while Alvaro Morata and Mikel Oyarzabal scored the decisive two goals during the extra-time.

This was a big moment for Alvaro Morata. The striker was heavily criticised for his performance so far in the tournament, but his goal against Croatia was crucial. Now the Juventus star must prove his worth and play with even bigger confidence in the next game.

That’s our preview for the Euro 2020 1/4-finals game between Switzerland and Spain in Saint-Petersburg. The Crusaders will be full of confidence after what they did against France, but in our opinion Spain are slight favorites here.
