How did Wolfsburg reach the 1/8-finals of the competition? The Wolves hosted Sandhausen at home and did a terrific job for a 4-0 win against the 2. Bundesliga side. Gerhardt, Weghorst and Joao Victor scored in the first half while Weghorst added another one in the last few minutes. Oliver Glasner’s team had a serious approach to this game and it showed on the pitch. They fully dominated the game.

Lately Wolfsburg are in a really good shape. The former Bundesliga champion are enjoying a run of three consecutive wins in the Bundesliga.
